About the Glass Patch

Liz Osika
Owner and Artist
Liz Osika has always spent time dabbling in a variety of arts and crafts. Whether it is pottery, crochet, amigurumi, scrapbooking, or paper crafts, she is always doing something. When she took her first stained glass class in 2022, she was hooked. All other crafts have fallen to the side, and she has worked solely to refine her skills in copper foil-stained glass creation.
She has shared her passion with friends and family, and after much encouragement, decided to open the studio to those curious about the craft of stained glass by offering private classes.
As a former professor specializing in course design and curriculum development, Liz has developed a sequence of experiences tailored to each individual’s level of curiosity and skill. She wants each person to feel successful and leave with art they will enjoy for years to come.
Whether you’re curious for an afternoon or committed to mastering the craft, Liz will meet you where you are.
The Studio
The Glass Patch is the personal studio in the lower level of Liz Osika’s private residence. Ten steps lead to Liz’s favorite place to unplug from the pressures of the world.
After purchasing the house, which was built in 1900, the lower level underwent a complete makeover to prepare the space. The last year was spent creating a comfortable studio equipped with everything needed to create original and unique glass projects.
The space fits up to four people comfortably, so it is perfect for date nights, girls’ night out, birthdays, or individuals looking to learn the craft. Bring your own food and beverages to make it an even more enjoyable experience.

Studio Supervisors

Abbie & JoJo
Abbie (white) and JoJo (brown) are poodle mixes who love to sleep on their mat under the grinding table and make sure no crumbs are the ground.

Gidget & Gizmo
Gidget (tuxedo) and Gizmo (all black) are rescues and artists of their own accord as they are fond of helping rearrange pieces prior to soldering.
