Creative Experiences Path

Come Make Something

Creative Experiences are designed for people who want to enjoy stained glass without needing to commit to a longer learning path.

Some are perfect for a first visit. Others are about spending meaningful time with someone you care about. All are hands-on, welcoming, and designed to help you enjoy the process of making something with your own hands.

You do not need prior stained-glass experience or supplies of your own. I’ll guide you through the process, help you choose materials, and make sure you have the support you need along the way.

All materials and tools needed for your project are included.

The Art of Stained Glass – An Introduction

$110 per person • 4 hours

This is the most complete first experience at The Glass Patch and the best place to begin if you want to understand how stained glass is actually made.

You’ll start with a small practice sailboat while learning the fundamentals of cutting, shaping, foiling, and soldering. Then you’ll use those skills to create an approximately eight- to nine-piece stained-glass panel of your own.

The class is paced so you have time to learn, ask questions, practice, and understand the why behind each step — not simply follow instructions.

You’ll leave with two finished pieces and a strong foundation in the stained-glass process.

Sun Catcher Workshop

$75 per person • 2 hours

A shorter stained-glass experience for anyone who wants to try the craft, spend a creative afternoon with someone, or simply make something beautiful.

You'll go through the complete stained-glass process, including cutting your own glass, grinding and fitting the pieces, foiling, and soldering.

Choose from a curated collection of five- to six-piece designs, select your glass, and create your project with guidance from start to finish.

Seasonal designs may be featured throughout the year, but you're always welcome to choose a project that speaks to you.

You'll leave with a finished stained-glass suncatcher ready to hang and enjoy.

Note: Because a suncatcher uses fewer pieces than our Introduction class, students who want to continue learning are encouraged to take the Small Panel Workshop next for additional hands-on practice.

Mosaic Glass Workshop

$55 per person • 2 hours

Enjoy the color and creativity of stained glass without cutting, foiling, or soldering.

You’ll design your own mosaic using glass pieces, tiles, and materials from the Patch Pantry, then choose between creating two coasters or one larger tray.

This is a relaxed, approachable way to explore color, texture, and design while enjoying the creative possibilities of glass. It’s an especially good choice if you want a hands-on studio experience without cutting or soldering.

Creative Mosaic Experience

Off-site • For adults or children

Bring The Glass Patch to your workplace, organization, school, or gathering.

This relaxed, hands-on mosaic experience is designed for groups who want to create together without needing any stained-glass experience.

I bring the materials, supplies, and instruction to you. You provide tables and chairs with enough working space for each participant, plus one additional table for setup and supplies.

Travel within 20 miles of The Glass Patch is included. Events beyond 20 miles may include a travel charge based on distance.

Adult Groups:

$400 for up to 8 participants • $45 each additional adult • About 2 hours

Adult participants create either two mosaic coasters or one larger tray.

Groups for Children:

$200 for up to 10 participants • $20 each additional child • About 45 minutes

Children create one 4 × 4 mosaic using tumbled glass and tiles.

Together in Glass

$180 per pair • 3 hours

A stained-glass experience designed for two people to create something together.

Each of you will make one half of a shared design, choosing your own glass and working side by side through the process. At the end, the two pieces are brought together to create one finished work.

It’s part stained-glass class, part shared experience — with plenty of room for conversation, laughter, and the occasional debate over who chose the better glass.

Perfect for partners, close friends, siblings, or any two people who would enjoy making something meaningful together.

Family Makers

$85 for one adult + one child • 90 minutes

Additional maker: $25

A creative experience designed for families to make something side by side.

Each maker creates their own 4 × 4 mosaic using colorful glass, tiles, and materials from the Patch Pantry. No glass cutting or soldering is required, making this a comfortable way for younger makers to participate in the studio experience.

The goal is not perfection. It is time together, creativity, and the satisfaction of making something with your own hands.

Families of all kinds are welcome.
