Not everything you need from The Glass Patch fits neatly into a workshop.
You may need a little more time to finish a project, access to studio tools, help solving a problem, a custom pattern, materials for something you are making at home, or someone to create a finished piece for you.
The services below are here to help you keep moving — whether you are working at The Glass Patch, creating in your own studio, or bringing an entirely new idea to life.
Finishing Time
Sometimes a class project just needs a little more time.
$20 per hour • 2-hour minimum
Finishing Time is available to current students who need additional studio time to complete an active class project. Use the time to finish grinding, foiling, soldering, assembling, or other remaining steps without feeling rushed at the end of class.
Studio tools and the Patch Pantry are available during your visit. Shelf glass, solder, hobby came, zinc, and other project materials are purchased separately when needed.
Maker Passes
A place to keep creating.
Maker Passes are for people who already understand the stained-glass process and want access to a dedicated workspace, shared tools, and studio resources while working independently.
Come during Open Studio with a project in mind and use the studio resources to keep it moving.
Maker Passes include access to grinders, hand tools, cutting systems, and the Patch Pantry.
The Patch Pantry is a collection of color-sorted glass offcuts and regular studio consumables available for use while you are creating at The Glass Patch. Depending on your project and what is available, you may use Pantry glass for a few pieces or build your project from it. Shelf glass, solder, hobby came, zinc, and other project materials are available separately as needed.
Maker Passes are for independent work time rather than instruction.
If you need focused help with a project, Project Support is the better fit.

Project Support
$35 • 1 hour
Sometimes you don't need a class. You just need another stained-glass person to look at what you're doing.
Project Support is focused, one-on-one troubleshooting for an existing project or pattern.
Bring the piece, the pattern, or the problem and we’ll work through it together. We can troubleshoot fit, structure, soldering, finishing, pattern concerns, or simply figure out the best next step.
Your project does not need to have started at The Glass Patch.
Ring Saw Time
$15 • 30 minutes
$25 • 60 minutes
Already know how to use a ring saw but don't have access to one?
Reserve time to use the studio ring saw for your own project during designated studio availability.
Ring Saw Time is for independent use rather than instruction. A 30-minute minimum applies, and unused time is not refunded or prorated.

Pattern Services
Turn an idea into something you can make.
Sometimes the hardest part of a stained-glass project happens before the first piece of glass is cut.
The Glass Patch offers pattern services for makers who need help preparing an idea for construction or turning an existing, approved pattern into something easier to use at the cutting table.
Custom Pattern Development
$45 per hour • 1-hour minimum
Bring an idea, sketch, photograph, or concept and I’ll work with you to develop it into a stained-glass pattern that considers shape, structure, piece count, and buildability.
Additional time is billed in 15-minute increments, and an estimate is provided before work begins.
Final digital files include PNG, PDF, and SVG formats. Printing, vinyl cutting, materials, and construction are separate.
Pattern Conversion and Vinyl Cutting
$0.10 per pattern piece • $3 minimum
Already have a clean black-and-white line-art pattern?
I can convert your pattern into an SVG and cut each piece from vinyl. The individual pieces can be applied directly to the glass, eliminating hand tracing and helping you cut, grind, and fit your glass more accurately.
The listed price applies to patterns that are ready for conversion. Patterns requiring tracing, cleanup, correction, or additional digital preparation may include an additional preparation fee.
Any added cost will be discussed with you before work begins.
Glass & Studio Supplies
Materials when you need them.
The Glass Patch keeps a selection of commonly used stained-glass sheets and supplies available for students and local makers.
You can purchase materials while you are here for a class, Open Studio, or make an appointment to stop by and shop. Because The Glass Patch is a working home studio rather than a retail storefront, shopping is available by appointment only.
Stained Glass
Shelf glass is available in convenient project-sized pieces, so you do not need to purchase a full sheet when you only need a particular color or a smaller amount.
Available colors, textures, and sizes vary with studio inventory.
The Patch Pantry is separate from shelf glass.
Pantry glass is made up of offcuts available for use during eligible classes and studio time, while shelf glass is purchased when you need a particular color, size, or larger piece for your project.
Studio Supplies
I also keep many of the materials commonly needed to continue a stained-glass project, including foil, solder, flux, came, zinc, and selected finishing supplies. Availability changes with studio inventory, but the goal is simple: if you need something to keep your project moving, there is a good chance you can find it here.

I create custom stained-glass work for people looking for something designed specifically for their home, a meaningful gift, a window or architectural space, or a piece that marks a person, place, or memory.
We’ll begin with a conversation about what you have in mind, where the piece will live, the size, colors, style, and anything that makes the project meaningful to you.
From there, I’ll develop the design and provide a quote based on the size, materials, complexity, and work involved.
Commission pricing is calculated individually.
