Payment information is processed through Wix and its payment-service providers. The Glass Patch may receive transaction details, such as the amount, date, payment status, and limited payment-method information, but does not ordinarily receive or store your complete credit-card number.

Information collected automatically

When you use the website, Wix and other authorized service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location, pages visited, referring website, dates and times of visits, and information collected through cookies or similar technologies.

How We Use Information

The Glass Patch may use personal information to:

  • Process reservations, purchases, payments, refunds, transfers, and gift cards.

  • Provide classes, workshops, appointments, Open Studio access, and other services.

  • Send confirmations, reminders, preparation information, waiver requests, participant communications, and service-related updates.

  • Review project ideas, patterns, reference images, and uploaded files.

  • Maintain participant, waiver, safety, attendance, and transaction records.

  • Send promotional communications when you have requested them or otherwise provided appropriate consent.

How Information Is Shared

The Glass Patch does not sell or rent personal information. Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with service providers that help operate the website and business, including Wix, payment processors, booking and form services, email or text-message providers, calendar and scheduling services, file-storage providers, accountants, insurers, professional advisers, and other vendors supporting studio operations.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, insurance requirements, or a good-faith need to protect the safety, rights, or property of The Glass Patch, its participants, or others.

These providers may process information under their own privacy policies and terms. The Glass Patch uses reasonable care when selecting and working with service providers but does not control every aspect of their independent data practices.

Cookies & Website Analytics

The website uses essential cookies required for functions such as security, forms, bookings, payments, and account features. It may also use functional, analytics, or marketing cookies to understand site use and improve communications.

When a cookie-consent banner is available, you may accept, decline, or adjust nonessential cookie categories. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect website features or functionality.

Email & Text Communications

Service-related messages—such as confirmations, reminders, waiver requests, schedule changes, and responses to customer inquiries—are necessary to manage reservations and participation. Promotional email or text messages will include an available method to unsubscribe or change your preferences.

Opting out of promotional messages will not stop necessary service communications connected with an active reservation, purchase, or request.

Photographs, Video & Uploaded Files

Photographs and video taken during studio activities are handled according to the permission selected on each participant’s waiver. Declining photography or video permission does not affect a participant’s ability to take part in classes or services.

Patterns, reference images, photographs, and other project files are used to review, prepare, and support the participant’s project. Their use is also governed by the Studio Policies and Pattern & Reference Image Policy. Please do not submit sensitive information that is unrelated to the requested service.

Information About Minors

A parent or legal guardian must provide consent and complete required waivers for participants under 18. Parents and guardians should submit personal information for younger participants rather than asking a child to submit it independently.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, please contact The Glass Patch so it can be reviewed and, when appropriate, deleted.

Data Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and safety records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance, or operational requirements. Different types of records may be retained for different periods. Information that is no longer reasonably needed may be deleted, anonymized, or securely archived.

Security

The Glass Patch uses reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information. No website, email system, online transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please use care when sending personal information online and contact The Glass Patch if you believe your information has been misused or compromised.

Your Choices & Requests

Depending on applicable law and the nature of the information, you may ask to access, correct, update, or delete personal information associated with you. You may also withdraw optional consent or change communication preferences. Some information may need to be retained for legal, safety, accounting, insurance, or legitimate business purposes.

To make a privacy request, email liz@theglasspatch.com. The Glass Patch may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
